Work time tracking without hidden monitoring
Time tracking works when it is trusted. That is why Timefort has no hidden mode: the employee knows what is recorded and sees the same numbers as the manager.
The agent is always visible
While the program runs, its icon is visible in the tray. The recording can be paused or stopped from there.
It is clear what is collected
The name of the program and the title of its window, the domain of a site, idle time and — when switched on — screenshots. Nothing else.
What the agent does not collect
Keystrokes, passwords, the contents of files and messages, full page addresses. Private browser windows are not read.
Employees have their own statistics
In their account everyone sees their working time, productivity, lateness and timesheet, and marks what they were doing away from the computer.
Questions and answers
No. Timefort has no such mode: the agent’s icon cannot be hidden and the pause is always available to the employee.
The employer must tell employees about the tracking and the data collected in advance and, where the law requires it, get their consent. The rules depend on the country — check them with a lawyer.
During a pause the agent records and sends nothing. That stretch of the report stays empty.
Other features
Remote employees
When a team works from home, a manager does not have to ask who is doing what: everyone’s day is on one screen, and employees see the same statistics about themselves.
Timesheet and pay
The timesheet is built from the agent’s data, not from what people report: hours by day for a week or a month, a total for every person and pay at their rate.
